On July 4, 1776, our forefathers signed the Declaration of Independence as a proclamation of freedom for all citizens of the New World. The second paragraph of this document begins with the famous words: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Unfortunately, throughout history and within our modern world, the rights of some individuals and groups of people have been disrespected or abused, and not all people are treated with fairness and equality. WRITE an argumentative expository essay that influences people of our modern society to act against some sort of social injustice.
